brackett rocket paint the pavement project
In 2015, I led a project with my neighbors on the 2800 block of 39th Ave S to paint the pavement with the image of the Brackett Park Rocket, shooting flames as it flew towards the park, surrounded by stars and planets. The purpose was to increase the vibrancy of the neighborhood, to bring people together around a fun, community-building activity, and to slow traffic and improve safety at a busy intersection with only a two-way stop.
