So yeah, I tried to camp tonight. The campsite may be formally gone, and it is certainly physically gone, as it's underwater. So I'm staying at a motel! Cheapest I could find, and also one of the only rooms I could find available.
It's at the Itascan, fittingly enough. It's old school, feels like it hasn't been meaningfully updated in decades. I love it. I am going to take a shower. I am going to sleep in a bed. I couldn't care any less about anything else.
Under "amenities," motels should really list "lack of cloud of mosquitos."
